Mattress Factory's Teen Art Cooperative is seeking art made by emerging youth artists in grades 9-12 from the greater Pittsburgh region for a group exhibition. Please fill out the form below by Friday, May 1 to submit an artwork for consideration. Feel free to contact the Mattress Factory Education Department at education@mattress.org with any questions.
Join Mattress Factory's Teen Art Cooperative for "Reanimating Memory: Stop Motion Collage," a collaborative workshop led by exhibiting artist and filmmaker Rebecca Shapass. In this hands-on workshop, we will reanimate long-lost rooms, landscapes, and sites from memory using a variety of craft materials, 3-D objects, light, and shadow. By the end of the workshop, you will have created your own short stop-motion collage of your chosen memory-space.
The Teen Art Co-op provides mentorship, workshops, and community for local creative teens.
