Partner4Work
Partner4Work is Allegheny County and Pittsburgh’s workforce development board that connects funding, expertise, and opportunities for employers, job seekers, agencies, and policymakers to develop a thriving workforce. Partner4Work partners with businesses to source and train the talent needed to grow the region’s economy. They partner with job seekers to break down barriers and open doors to opportunity for careers in growing industries as well as with agencies to make an impact in communities, to reach people where they are, and set them on the path for a promising future. Partner4Work envisions a thriving and prosperous community, where all residents have access to expansive career opportunities and all businesses have access to a talented workforce.
The Consortium for Public Education
The Consortium is a nonprofit organization working with schools across southwestern Pennsylvania on initiatives designed to strengthen and broaden school leadership, engage community, and empower students. Their initiatives build cross-sector partnerships that bring resources, improvements, and support to public schools brings schools and communities together to build strong relationships and create more opportunities for students and educators so students may be better prepared for the future. The Consortium works with 4,000+ Educators in 19 counties and 90+ School Districts and Career and Technical Centers alongside 50+ Community Partners including colleges and universities, employers, community organizations, and trade schools and training centers.
Allegheny Intermediate Unit
The Allegheny Intermediate Unit (AIU) is a regional public education agency that advocates and advances equitable opportunities for every learner. The AIU provides specialized services and support to Allegheny County’s educators, administrators, and staff in suburban school districts as well as non-public, charter, and vocational-technical schools. While Unit 3 is partnered with Career Ready Allegheny, there are 29 intermediate units across the state assisting educators, providing programs and services, and ensuring that “through equitable access, all learners achieve their full potential.”
Remake Learning
Remake Learning is a free peer network for educators and innovators in the greater Pittsburgh region. The network exchanges knowledge, collaborates on new ideas, improves their practice, and finds funding to spark more engaging, relevant, and equitable opportunities to enrich Pittsburgh’s learning ecosystem. While the world of education rapidly changes, Remake Learning is dedicated to helping educators connect. They make this process easier ensuring that there is collaboration across sectors, reducing duplication, and leveraging resources for the greatest impact. Remake Learning “helps educators connect all the places young people live, learn, and play to create more engaging, relevant, and equitable learning opportunities.”
