Industrial Manufacturing Technician (IMT) Pre-Apprenticeship
The Industrial Manufacturing Technician (IMT) Pre-Apprenticeship helps high school students begin a pathway to a career in manufacturing. We currently have 2 state registered Pre-Apprenticeship programs: IMT Pre-Apprenticeship and Advanced IMT Pre-Apprenticeship. These two programs use curriculum from Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) and directly connect to one another and allow students to receive up to 7 industry recognized certifications after completion of both.
IMT Pre-Apprenticeship
- 2 modules: Safety and Quality
- Ability to receive 3 certifications at completion
- Ability to receive 45-hours advanced standing in Catalyst Connection’s IMT Apprenticeship Program at a participating company
Advanced IMT Pre-Apprenticeship
- 2 modules: Manufacturing Processes & Production and Maintenance Awareness
- Ability to receive 3 certifications at completion
- Ability to receive 45-hours advanced standing in Catalyst Connection’s IMT Apprenticeship Program at a participating company
Program Highlights
- Articulation agreements with CCAC, CCBC, WCCC
- Career exploration activities with local manufacturing companies and higher education organizations
- Career coaching to assist in starting a career in manufacturing
- Potential of paid work experience and/or job shadowing at a local company
